Jumping Tootsie and Hal *join*

Summer and Chloe walked out of the house into the cool morning air. They both had sweatshirts and jackets on, being that it was October. They couldn't wait for the Halloween party. The farm was already decorated with everything Halloween.

They went down to the LF Show Barn and led Tootsie and Hal out of their stalls. They led the sleepy horses to the wash stalls and clipped them in. "Buurrrrr its cold!!" Summer said, rubbing her hands up and down her opposite arms as she went to the tack room. "I hear ya!!" Chloe said, brushing they dryed mud off of Hal's dark bay coat.

Summer emerged from the tack room carrying her Nona Garson Prestige Jumping saddle with HS irons, Wellington Grand Prix Figure 8 Bridle with Gag Bit, wither back fleece pad, Dover navy quilted saddle pad, Nona Garson Belly Guard Girth, Eskadron Jumping Boots, her GPA, and Ariat Close Contact half chaps. She dumped the load right near Tootsie, then started to groom her. It didn't take much effort, since she had had a blanket on. After brushing her quickly, Summer tacked her up. She bent over to tuck her hair up into her GPA, then she put on her half chaps. After leaving her helmet unbuckled, Summer put the bridle on Tootsie, fastening the dangling buckles.

Next, Chloe went to the tack room and came out carrying her Dover Circuit Elite saddle with HS irons, Wylde Hunter Bridle with Dee Ring bit, Wellington Standing Martingale, Dover girth, Dover white quilted saddle pad, wither back fleece pad, Dover Pro Sport Boots, her GPA, and Dover Custom Leather Full Chaps. Chloe could barely carry everything, so she nearly fell putting it down near Hal. She tacked up.

Summer was just leading Tootsie past Chloe and Hal when Chloe was putting on Hal's bridle. "Gasp!! Wait for me!!" Chloe called after Summer. Summer stopped and waited, tapping her foot impaitiently, but jokingly. "Oh shut up!!" Chloe said, leading Hal out of the wash stall.

Both girls buckled their GPA's and tightened their girths. They ran down their stirrups, then used the mounting block to get on. They talked about the party as the made their way to the outdoor jumper ring.

Lindsay and Sam walked side by side to the barn. They took there tack and put it infront of Sergio's and Peter's Stall.

Sam took Peter's blanket off and folded it ontop of her tack trunk. She put one of her old hairnets on and her hair went nicley into her Charles Owen Helment. She left it unfasten and put her Ariat Half chaps over her jeans and zipped it up. She combed his curly mane, which was left curly, since they had him braided the hole weekend. She put on a nice pad that read Lionshare Farms, with the colors, and then a shaped pad, and then a wither relif pad. She had her saddle sitting ontop of him, and fastened the girth on. The breast Plate she fastenned on and then the bridle with the figare 8 nose band. she lead him out of his stall. She picked his feet and then grabbed a dressage whip, then she walked to the Jumper ring.

Lindsay took Sergio's 2 blanket's off(he needs 2 since there so light and he doesn't have his winter coat yet.) and quickly put his saddle pads, girth, and saddle on him. She had the martingale on and then the bridle. She put his Pony Finals 2005 Grand Champion Cooler on over that and lead him out of his stall. She put her Half Chaps on and then she put her long hair in one pig tail, and then she put her GPA on over it. She grabbed a jumping crop and mounted Sergio, and rode him to the Jumper ring.

After about 20 minutes of walking, trotting, and cantering, Summer cantered Tootsie up over a small cross rail. Chloe was gathering her reins when she say her best friend, Lindsay. She waved wildly, and shouted, "HEY LINDS!!!" as she trotted Hal over to Sergio. Summer looked over her shoulder after landing the jump and saw Sam and Lindsay. "Hey guys!! Whats up?" she asked, slowing from and canter to a walk. She patted Tootsie and and walked over to the two girls.

"Nothing really. We need to get there morning work out in." Linds said as she took sergios cooler off.
"Someone's coming to look into leasing Peter, and I have to make sure he's sound and workable."Sam said, entering the arena. Peter went into horse show mode. Sam streched his muscles out and did some flat. Lindsay trotted Sergio in and witht/c him. Lindsay trotted and cantered the crossrail forth and back.

Chloe smiled. "Oh thats cool" she said, picking up a canter and popping over the small 2.3 vertical set up. Summer followed behind Chloe, then rolled back and caught the cross rail. "Good girl" Summer said, patting Tootsie's neck.

"Yup" Lindsay replied, and did the rollback that Summer did. Sam just witht/c him, bending at the corners, making him strech his mucles.

Chloe then did the roll back, looking like the perfect hunter rider she was; even though she was training to become a jumper. "Good looks don't win blue ribbons" Ben, her dad, always told her. Ben paid his way through college and started Lionshare on the money he won from all the grand prixs and jumper shows.

Sam did a small crossrail very Huntery. Peter flew over it with his front legs even. She sat up and did a long run to a 3ft oxer, making him strech over the jump.

Summer followed behind Sam and jumped the oxer, much like a grand prix rider rather than a hunter. Chloe followed behind, now in jumper mode. "Hey .. you guys wanna make up a course?" Summer asked, patting Tootsie.

"Sure. But make sure it's huntery. Because He's a hunter, not a jumper." Sam said, slowing to a walk.

Summer rolled her eyes jokingly and said, "Okay fine .. but then me and Chloe are doing a jumper course. Linds can do it too if she wants" she said, standing paitiently while Sam made up the course.

Christina, the youngest of the Downs family, was leading her little pony, Summer Wishes, out of the barn when she saw all of the other girls.She mounted Wish, looking adorable in her tiny paddock boots and half chaps, small helmet, and little crop clutched in her tiny hands.She mounted her pony and rode her shyly towards the girls.Wish, a pure Germen Reitpony, was a beutiful mare, and though tiny, was extremely athletic and bold, as was her rider, though for both of them, it was hidden under cuteness.

Lindsay said "Sure!" she LOVED Jumper courses.. she loved being a jumper.. even though she has the best equitation ever on a pony.

Sergio looked at the pony joining them and nuzzled her.

"Ok." Sam said "Single, outside line, diagonal, long run, long run, single and then a bending line to the first long run"

Summer nodded and did the course first. After she jumped the last fence perfectly, she patted Tootise. "Good girl!!" she said. Chloe went next, though she jumped it more like a jumper than a hunter. She patted Hal as well after the last fence. "Okay .. your turn!!" she said to Sam.

Sam nodded and picked up a canter and did a circle, she went over the course gracefully, very huntery. She over released the last fence and did the ending circle. She patted him and let him walk around a bit. She said "Ok. I'm just going to give my dad peter. I'll be back Asap!" she rode to the barn and hoped off, handing peter to her dad, who was going to put polo's on him and make him look good for the leaser.
"Hey Sam, why don't you take Pie out for a good jump or two. He really needs it" her dad said, handing the Paint horse's reins to her.
Sam smiled and checked the girth before hoping on him. She walked him down to the arena and walked in.
