The Esch siblings all went to Kilwin's for ice cream.
After they all ordered, Maddi wanted to meet someone new, since they were new to OTB.

Vicki walked in with Summer and Chloe and went to the counter. They all ordered vanilla hot fudge sundaes and sat down. Oh look!! There's Maddi!! HI MADDI!! Vicki said from across the room.

As Keira said hi to everyone, Ben jumped up and said hello.
Hi there, I'm Ben Esch. Pleased to meet you!! He said, in a funny voice.

Ben admired the beauty of Ashley, and her manners.
Emily slid Ben's sundae down to him, and he caught it. He grabbed a spoon, and began to gobble down the ice cream.

Chase and Morgan burst through the doors. "Why do we have to come here? We have to get the horses to the stables" Chase yelled at the girl rushing down the hall. "Because I want some ice cream! i'm starving for Pete's sake!" Chase just rolled his eyes. "okay i will take a soft vanilla dipped in chocalate and he will have -Chase what do you want?" "i don't care" "he'll have chocolate" When Morgan got her icecream she immediately started eating. She looked up and saw a bunch of people not far away. "Hey guys my name is Morgan Donaldson and this is my brother Chase! we're new to this area do you know where we can find Lionshare Farms?? Chase here refuses to stop and ask for directions." Chase just rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Please don't mind my obnoxious sister" he said. "come on now Morgan let's go, they proballly don't even know what we're talking about." "but i haven't finsihed my ice cream!"

Keira looked around for Ashley, but finally gave up, turning her attention back to the others.
Ashley looked back at Ben, her heart racing.Thoughts whizzed through her head, her pulse throbbed.She waited for him to make a move, anything.
